As AES, we were at TAC Kapak A.Ş company, which shaped their production with the slogan “We produce with the best of the world, for the best” during our customer experience visits. Continuing to be a solution partner to its customers in many fields such as membrane caps, balloon caps, cnc machining and rail cabinets in Ankara since 1996, TAC Kapak keeps growing both in domestic and international markets. In this context, we talked to İbrahim UTAR who is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company and Taha UTAR Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, about the present and future of TAC Kapak and the place of AES in this process.
Can you tell us about TAC Kapak, Mr. İbrahim?
Hello; I am İbrahim UTAR, I am continuing my duty as the founder and Chairman of the Board of TAC Kapak A.Ş. As a company, we started our business as a hardware store to furniture idustry. In 2007, we left the hardware business and stepped into the membrane Cover industry. As TAC Kapak, we started production at our place in Altınay Street. With the increase in our production volume, we have made the transition to our new production and showroom area of 3000 m2 located in Altınay Street. While increasing our production volume with our new location, we have the
opportunity to present our products to our customers in the best possible way, thanks to our showroom. Currently, we are producing decorative covers and special cnc works in our old factory, while we are producing membrane covers in our new place. We want to focus on export in a our products terms of our future targets. For this reason, we need to convert our semi-finished production into full-finished production. We also care about developing our sales network in the domestic market. For this reasen, we have a marketing representative in Bursa and seven dealerships in different regions of Turkey.
Could you tell us about your entry into thesectorand your machine selection?
Since we could not predict what the industry could bring when we first started, we entered the industry with a console type cnc machining center With our move to our new location in Altınay Street, our customer portfolio and production area have increased. When we did market research at this stage, we realized that it was not right for us to continue our production with a consolle type cnc machining center Our first machine was an imported brand. Since we were very disappointed about the service on this machine, we decided that the new machine we would buy should be domestic production. As a result of our long researches, we met AES in Bursa and bought our first RAPTOR SUPER flat table CNC machine. As you know, there are companies that make and import many cnc machines in Turkey. We respect all of them, all companies work for our country. But we strive to give our customers the best quality and most efficient product regarding the product we produce. At this point, we preferred AES company, shairing same opinion with us, as a result of our research. Before making our choice about the machine, we talked to other companies producing in our sector and got brand suggestions from them. Are they satisfied with the machines? Do they have any difficulties? How are the services? We decided on this choice after getting information about such matters.
Hello Mr. Taha, can you tell us about professions of TAC Kapak company?
I am the vice chairman of the board of directors responsible for the marketing and production processes of our company. Since the day we were founded, we always aim for the best. That is why our motto is “We produce for the best with the best of the world”.As TAC Kapak, we currently have two main production branches, the first of than is on cnc processing decor production; Here, we do decor products, headboards, mirrors and project works with our interior architects. Our other production branch is the membrane cover, which is our main production. Here, we analyze the customers needs in the best way and together with our sales and design team, we reflect the product of our customers’ dreams into reality. From design to production, we care about our customers needs, listen to their ideas and act accordingly. As a company, we have goals and principles. First of all, our customer satisfaction, quality, material delivery speed and after-sales support processes are of great importance for our company. We take care of improving ourselves constantly. We follow sectoral developments. Of course, in order to achieve these goals, it is necessary to work with the best companies.
Can you tell us about your meeting process with AES?
We met with AES company in 2012 and we bought our first RAPTOR SUPER machine. While we were moving to our new location, we continued to work with AES company and strengthened our production line by purchasing 3 more RAPTOR ULTRA models of 2021. Currently, we have 4 AES flat table CNC machines in our production line. Since we are sure of the quality
of AES machines, we have not had any problems with their performance and speed, and we know the power of service processes, we believed that it would add value to our work and all our choices were in favor of AES. We think that one of the strongest aspects of AES is its services, which I would like to underline. This is the biggest reason that have not given up
AES. I would also like to thank the entire service team. When we need any service, they immediately intervene in our problem, either by phone or remote internet connection. In matters that cannot be solved remotely, they come to our company for on-site intervention within 24 hours at the latest. Finally, we aim to move on a fully automated production system, also known as industry 4.0, in the near future. We continue to work towards this goal. We are building a new facility on 12.000 m2 in Elmadağ Organized Industrial Zone. For fully automatic production processes, our preference will also be the RAPTOR ULTRA LINE flat table cnc machine from AES. We hope that our partnership with AES will continue for many years to come.
